Can you believe that St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner? It's time for one of my favorite family homework projects...leprechaun traps.
I created a Leprechaun Trap packet last year but have revised it and reuploaded it. Go check it out!
It includes a description of the activity, a letter to parents, a trap planning page, a story planning and writing page, and more. PLUS, it includes two original poems by me...one to Mr. Leprechaun from the class, and one from Mr. Leprechaun to the class. We set out the poem with our traps, and then the Leprechaun springs the traps and leaves a tiny hat full of gold for the kids! You can find the Leprechaun Hats at the Dollar Tree (5 for $1), and I simply sprayed aquarium pebbles gold. My little analytical ones last year just about drove themselves crazy trying to figure out if the gold was real. And, I think the parents had as much fun as the kids with this project! You can purchase the unit for $3.50 at TPT:
PLEASE don't copy the poem and use it...unless you purchase the unit. :) Thanks!!
And while you're at TPT, go check out my Top 'o the Mornin to Ya Freebies as well as my "If I found the Leprechaun's Pot of Gold" freebie!
And, if you're REALLY feeling LUCKY you may be able to win a copy of the Leprechaun Trap unit! Leave a comment below guessing my "lucky number." The first person to guess my lucky number will win! :)
